Beckett Simonon works towards the solution by creating long lasting products made from materials that have as little environmental impact as possible.

Using materials that reduce or reverse our environmental impact.

Water-based solvents, dyes, and natural waxes are used during the production process. They work with Mastrotto, using Gold Rated Certified leather for the environmental processes in the tannery. The leather midsoles, outsoles and stacked heels are vegetable tanned. The rubber heel tap on their shoes can also be removed and replaced easily! The rubber soles are produced following REACH standards for the use of toxic chemicals in production, to ensure human health and the environmental safety. The components of their shoe boxes are made from zero bleaching chemicals sugarcane, FSC-Certified, Earthpack Certified or 100% recycled. The shipping box is 100% recyclable.

Reducing overproduction and encouraging thoughtful consumption.

The fast fashion industry has always been a massive machine which over-consumes, overproduces and over-pollutes. Every product has an owner. Beckett Simonon follows a Made to Order (MTO) model which helps to reduce overproduction because every product actually has a committed owner before it’s made. It also minimizes overconsumption by eliminating inventory and prevents impulsive buying decisions.

Manufacturing under ethical and responsible working conditions.

Beckett Simonon maintains above average wages for workshop positions with safe and comfortable conditions at all workshops. The artisans have the freedom to form unions and none of their suppliers practice child labor, forced labor or prison labor. On-site or factory owned housing is forbidden and all suppliers are required to comply with their Code of Conduct. Beckett Simonon also commit to long term partnerships with our suppliers and 156 livelihoods have been supported through their atelier partnerships.

You even get to know how your items were made and by whom.

After your order is confirmed, you will receive email updates during the production period to involve you in the process. Through these updates and special booklet included with your purchase, you will learn about the steps it takes to fulfill your order, and come to know the incredible artisans who invest their skill and passion when handcrafting your items.
