The options range from posting photos and videos of you with your strike tools and posters to participating in online events, contests, and joining live videos! Power to the people, no matter the pandemic!

We The Planet
Jaden Smith (a rapper, singer, and actor), as revealed in We The Planet’s Instagram post, will be taking part in the April 22nd International strike.
To take part in their digital strike, the We The Planet campaign website says:
On April 22nd (Earth Day) post a video on Twitter and/or Instagram about your climate solutions - one individual, and one systemic.
According to Ayisha Siddiqa, a team member of We The Planet, the main objective is to get everybody involved, not just activists, not just people who know about the climate, but people who want to get involved but don’t know how. And we’re asking them to sort of petition and vouch to take an individual action and systemic action on the day of and to send us their video and upload it.
Earth Week NYC
Earth Week NYC has a Striking Toolkit on their website where you can find more information on specific targets and demands, sign slogans, the process of posting it online, etc. It can be found here: https://www.earthweeknyc.com/strike
Use the hashtag #earthweeknyc and feel free to tag politicians like the Democratic Nominee Joe Biden, NYS Gov Andrew Cuomo, the Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, or NYC Mayor Bill De Blasio to show your priorities as a New Yorker.
There will also be a Social Media Swarm on April 23rd where Earth Week NYC will be demanding that Wall Street and other major corps stop funding the money pipeline.
More info can be found here: https://www.earthweeknyc.com/divest
Polluters Out will also be holding Cyber Storms against corporations and companies that are still investing money in fossil fuels or have not taken action against global warming. Polluters Out will be taking online action against Liberty Mutual, Royal Dutch Shell (on 3/27), and Adani (on 3/27).
Ayisha Siddiqa, the co-founder of Polluters Out says that “Liberty Mutual has been hurting the indigenous peoples by promoting the key stone pipeline, almost like a whistleblowing situation where we will be blocking their lines of communication with Polluters Out.”
Find more information on each individual Cyber Storm on their Instagram @pollutersout or their website.

Extinction Rebellion
Extinction Rebellion is cooperating with Earth Week NYC and FFF NYC as part of the New York Climate Coalition in the Digital Strikes for Earth Day.
Additionally, Extinction Rebellion is online striking against the Metropolitan Natural Gas Reliability Project; they want YOU to say No to the North Brooklyn Pipeline. According to XR, “National Grid wants to spend 185 million of our ratepayer dollars to install a new high-pressure 30-inch fracked-gas pipeline through North Brooklyn, putting thousands of New Yorkers in the evacuation zone and contributing to the climate crisis.
“The fracked gas line will carry methane, a highly flammable and explosive gas, in a pipeline under our feet, snaking through neighborhoods populated by thousands of People.” To learn and find out more: https://www.facebook.com/NorthBrooklynXR/
