Hollywood Climate Summit
Bringing the Entertainment Community to Address the Climate Crisis

Climate experts and activists are coming to La La Land. The Hollywood Climate Summit week is June 23-26th both virtual and IRL in Los Angles the hub of the entertainment industry. The third annual summit is produced by YEA! Impact, a media agency who’s focus is grassroots organizing meets storytelling. All workshops will be digital and interactive, taught by incredible industry experts, climate activists and more.
“The summit’s long term goal is to become the SXSW of climate media and sustainable production in Los Angeles. We’re excited to be working with such incredible media sponsors and grassroots leaders to build out this community of climate-conscious entertainment professionals,” said Allison Begalman, YEA! Impact CEO/Co-Founder and Hollywood Climate Summit Executive Producer.
This year’s summit is sponsored by leading entertainment companies like Netflix, Meta, Paramount, NBC Universal, Earth Angel and more. A few virtual key programs include NBC Universal’s Writing Climate: Pitchfest for TV & Film where 20 writers will have 1-on-1 pitch meetings with Hollywood’s greatest. Paramount is also hosting “Unpacking Climate Emotions: Exploring Mental Health in Climate Storytelling” produce by the Climate Mental Health Network featuring speakers Dr. Britt Wray and Jessica Thurston (Senior Director of ESG Strategy at Paramount Global).
EcoTok Collective and Intersectional Environmentalist are co-hosting a virtual workshop together on Community Building For Eco-Education. Join a few EcoTok collective members as they chat about opportunities and challenges that arise with this work as well as the importance to creating community.
On top of these free virtual events for folks to attend from all over the world, the summit will also be hosting events IRL in Hollywood. Eco-Bash Pride Party on Friday June 24th is going to be hosted by Earth Angel, which will feature an eco-friendly Drag King show, powered by Hot Donna’s Clubhouse, as well as a call to action to the LGBTQIA+ and environmental communities to support each others’ intersectional movements.
